This involved being part of a JAS and ISO accredited supply chain. Our cattle performed within the desired parameters and Opal Creek feeders complied with all our Quality Assurance requirements. We were very happy with the results and with the service provided by Opal Creek.
We have fed large numbers of short and long-fed cattle for Mort & Co as well as many short-feds for Elders and Australian Country Choice. These have involved complex feeding and drafting strategies as well as high maintenance logistical control on cattle movements. Russell Pearson has fed over 3200 bullocks at “Opal Creek”. These cattle travelled over 2000kms before arrival. They required a tailored handling program to de-stress and -acclimatise them to ensure a high level of performance.
